One minute Molten Cake

September 12, 2013

Its been a while since I last sat down to write from the bottom of my heart. As you know, my goal with this blog is not to only share recipes that will inspire you to cook, eat with others and do it with love but to inspire your soul and the way to live life to the fullest. My cop-out is that there is so much to tell you about the food and the products I am cooking with in just one post, that sometimes I don’t want to overwhelm you with my mind’s ramblings. What do you think? should I keep sharing my two cents on life? Well, I hope you like what I have to say because I do enjoy thinking that I inspire you in one way or the other.

Today’s words of wisdom are inspired by a twitter party I attended with the hashtag #IspireCare with my friends of @JNJCares and @LATISM. So many great thoughts were shared and they got me thinking about how simply we can show that we care. Think about it, it just takes one minute (or less) to inspire others, to help others, to make a change.

Do you know what else just takes a minute? This crazy delicious Chocolate Molten Cake.

One Minute Chocolate Molten Cake

Not only it takes just one minute to be ready but it also can be done in one single cup, which means less dishes to wash.

Here is how you do it: mix the wet ingredients, add the dry ingredients, combine well and add a filling of your choice (I used Rolos but imagine Nutella, Dulce de Leche or Peanut Butter… the possibilities are endless). Then microwave for one minute and you will instantly have rich and incredibly moist cake. It is hard to believe I know, but go ahead try it! It just takes one minute and you deserve it!

But, before indulging in this amazing cake, remember to give a minute to others too. When it comes to others, you can express love, be kind, open doors, smile, say hello, please and thank you, listen, forgive and extend your hand. When it comes to you, keep in mind that your dreams and needs may be big but the change can be ignited with simple and powerful actions that might not take you more than a minute.

Look at that gooey center with Rolo caramel. Oh my, oh my! I may need a minute to make this cake again.

In closing, here are some of my favorite quotes from the #InspireCare twitter party, all from @WAOFrancesca

“If you don’t value self care you will not effectively care for others – it becomes martyrdom instead of love”

“Sincere caring always leads to action; caring without action is just sigh, not insight”

“Caring is both a feeling and an action. Let the feeling move you to act.”
