I’ve typed and deleted like five sentences now as I try to start this posts, and I simply can’t get it together. That’s because of how important it is to me.
If you’ve visited before and have read more about me, you’ve probably noticed that my faith and helping those in need are matters that I strongly value. Even before launching this blog I knew that if one or more would read it, I wanted to have a positive impact on them. From day one I told myself that if I was going to pour time on this corner of the web, I wanted my work to spread love. Which is why the section Giving Back has a front and center space on the homepage main menu. I also share about my passion for social good because I want to attract others that feel the same way; if that is you, go ahead, please let me know. I would love to know that others with common interests are reading.
As much as I have a strong desire to advocate for causes that are near and dear to my heart, I have to admit that some times it’s tough to stay focus on the vision that lead me to create this blog. But then there are days when you get an email from World Vision and that’s when you say to yourself: stay on it, keep going, this is an answer to prayer. Yes my friends, you’ve read right. I was approached by World Vision and they have invited me on a bloggers trip to the Dominican Republic, my home country. This week we will be visiting some of the sites where World Vision is making a difference. I will be getting to know about the people and initiatives you see below, and I plan to bring you along on this journey.
Follow me on Instagram here and here, and on Snapchat here, where I already started sharing about this life changing adventure. Also follow the hashtag #WVbloggers to see what others on this trip and past World Vision trips have shared.
Don’t forget to come back to the blog during the week as I will put together a few posts with more details about this amazing experience.
