Chipotle Caramelized Onions
Serves: 1½ cup
  • 3 medium yellow onions, sliced really thin
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons stone ground mustard
  • 1 tablespoons (or to taste) Tabasco Chipotle sauce
  1. In a large sauté pan, melt butter on medium-low heat until it starts to foam almost get brown.
  2. Add onions and cook stirring occasionally.
  3. Let the onions cook slow until they turn golden brown, around 30 minutes.
  4. Once they seemed to have caramelized, add salt, mustard, and Tabasco Chipotle sauce.
  5. Stir well to coat all the onions and cook for about five more minutes,
  6. Serve warm.
